About NSS

The National Service Scheme (NSS) at Mother Theresa Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (MIPER) is a student-centered extension program aimed at developing the personality of students through community service.
Our NSS Unit works to create socially responsible, compassionate, and service-oriented professionals who contribute actively to society and national development.

Regular Activities

Our NSS Unit conducts various social service and community outreach programmes throughout the year, including:

  • Health Camps: Blood donation drives, general health check-ups, diabetes awareness camps, and medical counseling.
  • Swachh Bharat Activities: Campus cleaning, village sanitation drives, waste management awareness.
  • Environmental Initiatives: Tree plantations, plastic-free campaigns, water conservation awareness.
  • Awareness Programmes: Road safety, anti-ragging, drug abuse prevention, mental health awareness.
  • Community Support: Visits to orphanages, old age homes, government schools, and rural development initiatives.
  • Special Observances: NSS Day, World Health Day, International Yoga Day, National Pharmacy Week, Constitution Day, etc.

Special Camps (7-Day Camps)

Every year, NSS organizes a 7-day Special Camp in an adopted village focusing on:

  • Literacy initiatives

  • Social empowerment programs
  • Cultural and educational activities

These camps help students understand ground-level challenges while contributing to community upliftment.
